mentioned this truck over in nates ram 2500 thread and a couple of you asked for the long version, so here it is in its own thread. this is the 2018 Ford F-250 Lariat 6.7 Powerstroke i bought off jacksboroautosales.com last winter and have now run a full year daily.
specs. 6.7 Powerstroke, 10 speed auto, 4x4, crew cab short bed, 3.55 rears, 96k when i bought it. one owner truck off a guy who traded up to an F-350 dually. i daily it to my landscape shop in knoxville and haul a skid steer on a deckover trailer on jobs, plus a dump trailer when we do removals.
price was 34,200. the ford stores around knoxville were asking 46 and up on comparable trucks with more miles, so that 12 grand spread is real money that went straight into my tool trailer and a year of fuel. emissions all intact, never deleted, which is exactly what i wanted for a truck i plan to keep a while.
i bought mine shipped since knoxville is a good ways from north texas. did the same thing nate did and paid a mobile diesel tech near the lot 175 bucks to pull codes, scan the emissions monitors, and crawl under it before i sent a dime. came back clean.
the one honest knock, and thats the whole point of these threads, was the tires. they were more worn than i wanted and i knew it from the photos, so i negotiated a couple hundred off and put a fresh set on it the first month. not a truck problem, just a wear item, but im listing it so nobody thinks i am pretending the truck was perfect.
